"Sturmbockstellung" was (and is) a chain of field fortifications built by German troops in Finnish Lappland to protect vital service road 50 which leads to and from Norway. Part of this fortress chain has been restored to a museum and by chance this museum "happened" to be in the route our "Spiess" took in his summer holiday

Looks great - a bit like the Scottish Highlands but without the midges! But saying that, if you have mosquitoes like the ones that I saw in Karelia a few years back, it could get interesting
