You guys look good...
But the whole "dirty face, shiny uniform" thing looks weird to me.

Yes please do share with us, sadly the guy on the right was recently seriously injured by his Deactivated k98 during training. He sprained his finger on the trigger

Re: Axis44 at Victory Show
Next time it's on a live K98. You are working with weapons, the first thing you should do is get your drills right. Weapons are weapons, safety catches, submarine hatches. No excuse possible for bad weapon handling, in the end it costs lives.
Don't point your weapon at anything you are not willing to destroy, and never put your finger on the trigger unless you are actually aiming at a target and ready to fire. It's easy, just do it. Doesn't cost you anything and will prevent a lot of trouble.
Never load a weapon until you are ready to use it. Keep the safety on at all times until you are ready to fire.
This even goes for airsoft weapons and replicas, once you develop bad drills the shit just doesn't stop flowing.
It's not exactly good propaganda either, in a time where we are being watched as a supposed risk to society.

He's right, even if the weapons are deactivated, not everyone knows it.
Try to make a habit out of it to respect the safetyrules at all times, even if it's not necessary. After a while it will become a second nature

Re: Axis44 at Victory Show
This is about to be addressed - I spent a very pleasant evening at the home of the Unit CO of this group - They are keen and willing to spend a weekend on a weapons handling and safety course - They will be using live weapons and blank. I predict that when they have completed they will be amongst the safest people out there....... unless of course one or all of them are completely gun happy and there is no cure for that except to take the damned things away! But i am sure this is NOT the case.
This course will also be offered to others in time..... It should be a pleasant weekend and people will get a lot from it.

Re: Axis44 at Victory Show
His comments got the reply they deserved. He could of been polite and a bit more constructive. may be something like "hi guys, looking good for your first ever display, however just keep in mind weapons saftey...." This forum is turning into a joke. Lets take a look at all the photos on this forum and pull up anyone else we see aswell shall we?
I was brought up to have good manners, whether that's meeting somebody in the street, communicating with a colleague at work, writing a letter, talking on the phone OR BEING INVOLVED IN A FORUM DISCUSSION. But I guess you can be a arse when your sat infront of a keyboard.
Talk about ripping down newbies, yes he shouldn't of had his finger on the trigger. But he'd posed for a photo with a deactivated gun after the public had left and confined to our roped off area, do you really think he'd be stupid enough to do it with a live one.
New members of our group have not and will not take part in any event using live/blank firing weapons until all of us have attended this course with Paul Dalby. Safety is at the top of our list. The unit CO and a number of the group work within the construction industry with a constant interface with the general public and are fully aware of all aspects of health and safety.
Anyway that's my rant over.
Paul, look forward to seeing you again soon and thank you very much for the offer we have previously discussed. Our group are very much looking forward to this.
