Neil,
I think you'll be pleased when you see them - I'll upload a selection later today, as I'm in the middle of shifting about 50 gigabytes of data over to a new computer

der Smudger's Pix from Burton
OK, here we go, folks.
Firstly, I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all those members of Grossdeutschland who welcomed me into your camp at Burton on Saturday. Thank you for going to the trouble of getting kitted out on a non-public day, it really made things easy and it was good fun working with you. Moreover it was an enormous pleasure to meet you all, I just wish I'd had more time to get to know you - and I hope I see you again before long
This is just a small sample of the 114 photos on the CD I'm sending to Emma for the group. The CD will include these in colour and in black and white at full resolution, and in black and white at web resolution like the ones I'll show below.
I've posted 30 of these lo-res images on Photobucket at:
http://photobucket.com/albums/v169/Grey ... /GDBurton/
Irwin is welcome to copy those off for the GD website (with due acknowledgement please)
Of course I won't put them all on here as you'll be downloading them forever, but I'll put twenty on in 4 messages.
The high-res files on the CD will print up to A3 and are a lot sharper than what you'll get with a compact digital camera due to the better imaging chip and lens. I think they've come out quite well and they even look good in sepia, which some people like.
I retain copyright, but GD has my permission to make copies of the CD for those members who feature in the pictures on it, and to make prints for them and for promoting the group, that includes posting lo-res pictures on the website, as long as I'm acknowledged somewhere. There will be a file outlining conditions of use on the CD.
[If anyone would like a nice big A3 print to frame, I can supply these for £10 each including postage, if you would like a professional job, feel free to contact me.]
So, here's a few photos to be going on with - I hope you like them!

Thanks folks, kind of you to say so
It's surprising what's possible in such a small display area, it was very handy having that train there. And there's lots more on the CD (which I will sort out tomorrow)
I'd certainly be very happy to work with you guys again when the opportunity arises. Who knows, if I can raise the funds for some extra kit, I may even show up as a 'real' kriegsberichter one day
Neil, if you do want some prints, let me know, I can take credit cards via PayPal if need be (add 5% for fees). I might even be able to doctor some of the modern tat in the background on some shots.
TTFN,
Smudger
