Re: Other outfits-impressions??
Yes tom it is.
the french admin was pants at the beginning of the indochina war, which resulted in a huge variation of kit, you can see a mixture of american, british and yes german camo being worn by troops even after the supply of french lizard camo to the troops. if it works eh!
here are two photos of SS camo which was used in indochina:
this does not back up the arguement that all legionaires were WAFFEN SS (devils guard), but there were obviosly some there.
anyway swaying off topic now!!!

Really loving those Foriegn Legion pics. Please post up more if you have them. Never seen that particular period of history re-enacted before, very interesting. Where can you buy the camo from???? Is it hard to get hold of?????

Re: Other outfits-impressions??
it all depends on what you want, the best repro on the market is by a firm on ebay: panzerfaust1943. they sell the set for around £100 and it is bloody good (i have one), i have a huge collection of original lizard camo and it is becoming expensive. jackets from 100 to 1000 euros depending on the model and the same with the trousers. as for webbing, berets, helmets etc these are fairly common items to be found on ebay FR.

Re: Other outfits-impressions??
Jonny, your kit looks great, but that woodland helmet cover is totally incorrect for Nam. You need a Mitchell pattern cover like your mate in the photo.
