Re: Faces of war
Jeez I've never seen any WW2 photos with that level of gore, I guess the top 2 are the result of a tank explosion/fire?Sturmgeist wrote:The horror.

Looks like the same sort of thing I saw after the first gulf war.

Re: Faces of war
love me, love me, i am thick, but i dont see the point of the pics of grossly disfigured and charred remains of dead bodies in relation to the uk reenactment scene and thats not having a pop at anybody, my attitude to life is "let the boy surf".
it does nt disturb me one bit either as im upto my armpits in equaly gruesom shit all day long at work but im thinking more along the lines of the non reenactment world at large who may stumble upon it, subjects such as copper brown piping, blank collar tabs and black uniforms etc are nt deemed right for public consumption, so why should this .
also, there are a few old dudes who where there at that time who visit this site, not nice for them to see this, is it?
ofcourse these things happened, they re still happening now but i think the pics bod deadies would be more at home on axis history for eg.
fair does, this topic was good at first, showing close up pics of combat soldiers, but i think its just descended into who can post the most gruesom pic, c'mon reenactment inteligencia, am i right or wrong?
i now press submit and await my slagging.

I agree that the photos don't fit this topic and were somewhat unnecessary, however it's good to remind us about the reality of our war plays every now and then
