Yea im sure the Canadians really helped them out with that.

But i guss things happen in war.

Also a lot of the 12th ss member's familys were killed in the pointless RAF bombing of city's. This made them hate the enemy. As well as if I can remember correctly wasn't 2 SS Officers found with bullet holes in there heads and there arms tied behind there back?(Think I remember reading that somewhere, Could have been the other way round) but the fighting that went on at Caen and carpiquet is what made the 12th ss one of the most well known divisions of the war.

Depends whos point of view your looking at. Total war is just that. Total, all out war, with all the nastiness and horror it brings with it. As to who had hands tied behind backs and who did what, its best not to go there. BIG can of worms.

As far as I remember the youngest in 12th SS was born in 1927.

The Tommy with the wounded chap doesn't look much older. Still they look imposing, must have been Devils in the crunch.

The 1st photo posted up by west-front. The officer reminds me of Neil from Das Reich, Just looks sim from the back.
