Denix K98k

Post by littletankman »

Hi any reviews on the Denix K98k ? I normaly buy Shoei or Japanese replicas , I realise the Denix is no match to them.Im looking to put together a K98k sniper rifle with a repro zf39 scope. I have an original K98k but dont want to chop that up or drill it for the mounts. I aim to improve the look of the Denix if I go that way .

thanks Andy

They're horrible, barely any working parts on them (not even the sights move), and just look cheap and nasty

Exactly what I thought I have an original K98k but dont want to drill into it hence looking at a Denix I can improve the look by altering them just dont want to butcher my original.

This is irelevent now as SOF cant sell me a replica as Im not in a group and just having AFRA membership is not enougth. I am a ' Promanader ' but with correct kit . I forgot about this although I know plenty of people with AFRA cover who are not in groups obtain replicas ( not from SOF ) . So looks like I will go the deact route which would certainly look better .

I saw a Denix K98k at an event and was not impressed .The seller did sell a Denix replica to some one who I doubt had VCR compliance

Buy an RC K98 and use epoxy resin would be best route. After all you won't be firing it so using resin isn't a problem. What K98 do you have at the minute? RC or original condition?

The Replica Kar98 is better from Keystone Arsenal and alittle more expensive
Just over $300.

whats wrong with getting a deac, you don't need to be in a group as the VCR act does NOT apply

Have to agree with graham, get a deac, there a bit more pricy, but they keep their value and in some cases will increase if you can get it for a good price, you will end up with a better product that both looks and feels liek the real thing (cos it is :) )
