MP38/40 in original photos

Post by valkyrie895 »

Hello friends,
I am asking a favor, can you post all of the original photos you have/have access to which show MP38/40s in use?

I prefer Heer truppen, but I will take anything you've got.

I am doing a photo study on how soldiers carried them, how they held them, and how they were used.

Commentary is welcome but I'd like to keep it to contributors of photos to keep down clutter if you don't mind.

Thanks,

loads of pics here

including firing holding the mag SO WRONG!!!!
I can tell you that the fallscrimjaeger normally hand loaded about 25 rounds. according to my info it wasn't unknown that ammo dumps only had rounds and no mags, so where possible empty mags were re loaded to the 25 limit

only problem there is buying the book £25.00 plus postage which is not shown on their site unless you buy the book.

£25 is cheap for that book.
Try finding it in stock for less than £40?
If you do, pm me first so I can snag one.

So the bit in the listing that says 'This title is not in stock at the Booktopia Warehouse and needs to be ordered from our supplier.' is included for fun?
The bit in the check out that says,'Delivery Expectation. This title will be sourced from our supplier. If it is not stock with our supplier you will be contacted prior to your order being charged.' ?
The biggest hurdle to Booktopia as a source is also in the checkout listings, 'Booktopia only ships internationally to New Zealand.'

The link was only to show the title of the book chaps ...not suggesting that is the best place to get one ....that's what google`s for

cannot remember where mine came from but it was under £30 in the UK

some really unique photos inside ... the use of a a dust cover in use in Tunisia for example

yeh the De Quesada MP38/40 book is quite cheap in comparison but no way near as many excellent images as the G. de Vries propaganda series

incidentally the cover photo of the De Quesada book has an interesting photo in that the MP38 is cocked with his finger on trigger and pointed in the direction of his kamerad ...

and he`s a lefty :D
