Show your German field equipment set!

Post by POA1944 »

This is my fieldgear setup for my late-war 1944-1945 Heer Infantry/Volksgrenadier impression. I use a mix of leather and webbed equipment for late war and a green bakelite cup. I will attach a photo of one in use in 1944 for those who are unaware of their usage during the war.

Original Items as follows: Original German gas mask canister rlt44 dated, Original German gas mask (inside the canister), Original 44 dated gas sheet bag, Original kar98 pouches, Original ccj41 matching mess kit, Original canteen flask, Original heer belt buckle.

The rest is quality reproductions from At the Front, 1944 Militaria, SM Wholesale, Ostfront.com.

Afternoon,

Here is my late war set up, everything is in good condition to represent the 'now-ness' and not that of antique kit. Still need to tweak and change a couple of things:

Gasmask canister is 1944 with a 1945 dated latch, simplified construction. With 1944 dated gasmask, 1943 dated filter. X4 spare lens packets matching dated 1944 in lid compartment. Type printed name label on lens compartment lid. 1944 dated gas cape bag with gas cape. Cleaning cloth and spring in bottom of canister.

1945 dated zeltbahn with straps. Pegs, rope and pole.

Original late war breadbag, with repro name label sewn in. Interesting late construction of the belt loops and lack of D rings to rear for the breadbag strap.

1943 dated steel messkit, matching with strap.

1943 dated steel canteen and cup.

ATF replica tan e-tool cover.

Matching 1944 dated bayonet with webbing frog.

ATF MP40 pouches with loading tool and magazines.

Original RBNr mapcase with inner sleeve and accessories.

Original late war tan painted 6x30 binoculars with replica leatherwork and plastic lens cover.

Original M42 helmet shell and liner band, no decal field grey. Replica RBNr chin strap and helmet net.

Black leather belt with quality replica field grey steel buckle.

Czech reworked Y straps, further improved by changing hooks.
