Elite Militaria - Issues

Post by gottmituns205 »

I'm putting this up here to get a pulse of who else has had dealings with this company, and had issues.

On June 20th I paid for a panzerschreck with a deadline of the Victory show, the company failed the deadline with less than a 24 hour notice, and then proceeded to blow through two more deadlines. I've asked for a refund, but so far have not gotten one, and after repeated passed deadlines, I've been left wondering if I'll actually get one.

What concerned me most:
I paid up front.
I never got an invoice.
I never got any photos.
I've been told how "busy they are" and yet my product would be "delivered on time" less than 10 days before the deadline.

Currently I'm out 296 quid, and a ruined Victory show. I wouldn't be so upset if I wasn't told by the company they would deliver a week out...and then bail with less than a 24 hour notice.

I've heard there are others in our community who have had similar issues, and I want to see if I'm the one guy out of 100 or if this is common.

If you paid through ebay you can set up a complaint for non delivery
if you paid by paypal you can ask for a refund because of non delivery.
if you paid by CC you can contact the card company and ask for a refund, due to non delivery
if you paid by BACS you have a problem cos i dont think the bank will help.
otherwise if you have their address, sent a registered letter giving them 14 days to pay if not you will issue county court proceedings.
County court is easy, done nearly 50 CC in the past 35 years for non payment. except for 1 i got paid all with costs.
Have you tried to make contact y phone, normally the threat of CC works!

Not via e-bay.
Paypal wont do shit because I never got an invoice.
CC won't work because it's through paypal.

He's telling me monday, but I'll see if he follows through or not...

I've already begun the process of court proceedings, if he bails on monday the letter goes out.

Pick up the phone and speak to him....

Bare in mind that the re-enactment community in the UK, certainly the axis side, is a pretty close knit community of friends - friends don't sling mud on forums and threaten court papers.

Personally my dealings with Elite have been ok - a little slow in places, but the products are good and functional. Just need to look around to see many how of his mortars are about....

my last sentence was to make contact by phone, if not resolved then the threat of CC action normally works,

All well and good if this is a side line, but where its a business sometimes a jolt has to be done, i would have thought that by now a refund or goods delivered should have been the case. does seem that 13 weeks is a long time to wait whether we are all friend on here or not. What would you consider a reasonable time? someone i know waited nearly 3 years for RAU to produce the item(s) of uniform, in the end money was returned.

Nelz surely is a good person at heart. If I did not think so, I would not have given him chance after chance after chance.

nelz is sometimes a bit late with getting stuff done, however he WILL get it done, one of our groups had a 75mm pak from him, brill peice, my FG group leader has also ordered a door knocker from him, and he is a bit late in getting it finished, however I have never known nelz not do do something thats been ordered, I think he can sometimes get too much on his plate and may give unrealistic finishing dates for things. Give him a ring and ask him where he is with it, its more than likely sat somewhere waiting for him to finsh a small bit on it.

Thanks for your kind words Johnathan...... much appreciated.

The Issue
... with Mr gottmituns205 or Mr dieter huebner , as he is known on FaceBook ,or Dale from America as he is known by Uk re-enactors who have met him,... is now satisfactorily resolved. :D

We have been extremely busy this year at Elite , far beyond our expectations, and it has become very difficult to keep up with production at a high pace .

Simply with the volume of orders we have enjoyed ,and greatly appreciated, there will be times when deadlines are not met and unfortunately a small number of clients , especially on the specialist AT gun products , have had to wait. There patience is greatly appreciated , and we always compensate in some way to keep our customers happy.

Our products are sold virtually world wide , and this global demand has put more pressure on production.
We are consolidating our present fabrication and manufacturing systems , and we are actively introducing new methods to further improve our products , increase the range , and provide greater customer service.

This will take time naturally , but rest assured , items ordered will be supplied , or a full refund will be honored , if the customer so chooses, ......as was the case with Mr Mittens. :D

Thank you all for your continued support...

My kindest regards ,

nelz.

Good to see this has reached a satisfactory conclusion and also that it did not deteriate into a slanging match. Thanks gents for the adult way this has been dealt with.

Cheers all
