Hi guys, now I enter a domain I don't know much about: how do you guys go about wearing your original gasmasks?

In short - you don't!

There were all sorts of nasties used in the filters which you don't want to be breathing in and the general consensus was that they could have been drawn up into the masks and may linger in there as well.

Oh I know of these nasties...but still sometimes see others putting on their gas masks and see it in the movies. So what are they doing then? Getting a repro gas mask? Getting a new filter (if so, where do you buy them?) or do they just risk it?

Yup, I think it's more a case of use at your own risk than anything else kamerad.

clean your gas mask well and buy an FE55 filter, they are externally the same but are a lot safer to wear and cheap
