Hi there guys, I have various bits of kit like drum mags, ammo boxes and oil cans and are dated between 39 and 45 and was wondering if anyone can help with telling me the right paint colours for the respective dates.
Cheers!

Re: Paint colours
All of them can be RAL 6006 Feldgrau for the entire war, or RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb post-1943. The ammo can and drums can also be RAL 7021 Schwarzgrau (also called Panzergrau) for the entire war.
Other colours are possible for ammo cans/drums... Luftwaffe Bluegrey, Afrika tan etc.... I am assuming you are asking for normal Wehrmacht/W-SS usage? A camo overspray of (typically) RAL 6003 Olivgrun is sometimes seen on the Dunkelgelb examples but they are usually left plain...
Never seen any examples of the oiler in anything but blued, Feldgrau or Dunkelgelb... a lot are knocking around in Russian Green at the moment....
Hope that helps!

Re: Paint colours
Ok thanks mate! Just another question, what kind of petroleum was in the one can? I understand gun oil was in the other.
