Wow man. Awesome work. It got me thinking on the paint. I worked for a place that built metal staircases. Sometimes we had specific paint requests for customers. There was one paint we used that came with a can of metal dust. You would add it to the paint and that paint was next to bulletproof. You couldnt scratch it with a knife. Maybey a metal shop in your area has some steel powder scrap kicking around. Just mix it with your normal paint youve been using and you'll have a durable ,scratch proof surface.

Fantastic Stuff! Do you have any drawings? Could you maybe provide measurements?

The paint color we used was a primer red color..when the dust was added it took on a more greyish metal hue..if your using dark colors it has little effect if you got that paint on you,it took MONTHS to come off...a testament to its durability. It was used for outdoor staircases. The paint was to prevent a scratch in the paint from rusting the stairs out, thus shortening its service life. Id imagine that would make for a great scratch proof paint job on the G43..and the silicone powder our friend described for the "metal look".
