very very useful for tall chaps like myself, straight sides so you have more actual standing up space than the 16 piece zeltbahn tents, I actually thought that gusts may be an issue as it is quite a tall windbreak but Evesham was VERY windy all weekend and it coped fine.

anyone seen this done before as I couldn`t find any discussion of it via google

One of the guys from Ksk did similar a few years ago at Beltring with an abundance of Italia camo zelts he had acquired.

Hi Nelz

yes Ive seen the M1929 Telo Mimetico tents but those are easy as the square shape lends itself to be made into a box tent ( and more italian army than German army )...this is made from M31s (albeit my example is made from those crap chinese ones so its not as "tight" as it would look with better quality zelts.

No modifications...just arranged in a different order and with longer poles

I have seen one photo that showed this 12 section tent in use, it actually showed 2 of them iIrc.
I'll try and hunt it out but that could take some time. :?
Memory suggests 2 officers and perhaps a vehicle in the shot....splinter pattern....

I`ll save you a bit of time ...I actually found this after Id built the tent...and was searching for the types of tables used etc ... It gave me a nice warm glow knowing I could back up a theory.
