Deac Weapons

Post by Oakleaf »

I heard talk a while back about old spec (pre 95) weapons may have to be re-deactivated to new spec (i.e all welded up etc). Does anyone know if this is still in the pipeline?

It's all gone quiet at the moment because there isn't an election on.

There are no firm plans on this at this time but you can be sure that if there is movement you will hear of it PDQ.

Thanks Herr Grink, It'd be a real shame if it did happen. Maybe a registration (owners to serial nos/weapon type etc) of old specs would be more appropriate. Anyway it may never happen I suspect it would be too hard to track down all the old specs and resubmit for more work on them. Got to be a heck of a lot out there.
