Flashlight troubles

Post by SchutzeHagemann »

I just bought an original Daimon flashlight. It is in pretty good shape, but the bulb I think is dead. I bought two 4.5 batteries and a new bulb but they don't work. They fit, but nothing turns on. I'm not a pro with electrics so does the inside of the flashlight look a little weird? It has the white stuff that electronics get when the battery goes dead and leaks, so I don't know if the actual 'guts' still work.

Of course the battery and bulb could be dead, but please let me know if anything looks off. Thanks!

Hello,

First thing that comes to mind is the connections, clean them abit with wire wool or just scratch it with something sharp to get through to bare metal?

Edit: Also make sure the 'on' position is touching the rest of the parts?

All the best,
Nathan
