Re: Windhund / Lehr - Grenadier Gruppe, set up
The Panzer-Lehr-Division had more Bataillons fully armed with Halftracks, in June 1944. Not even an SS-Panzerdivision or Großdeutschland had so much Halftracks SdKfz 251. The Panzer-Lehr-Division is not representative for a common Panzer-Division.
The 116.Panzer-Division "Windhunddivision", had only one Halftrack Bataillon. This was the I./PzGrenRgt 60, the II./PzGrenRgt 60 and the PzGrenRgt 156 were only motorized with trucks. This was most common for German Army Panzer-Divisions and Panzer-Grenadier-Divisions.
Grenadiergruppe, motorized
1 x Truck 3tons (many different types!) - 1 x Kraftwagenfahrer
1 x Gruppenführer - NCO
1 x Stellvertretende Gruppenführer
7 x Schützen
2 x MG.Schützen
