tellermine restoration

Post by brendan-ss »

hello, ive purchased a not too bad condision relic tellermine 43, i am going to restore it put the problem is it missing its fuze which is a wide flat piece that sits on top faceing up on the mine, theres not much hope of get a fuze for it put i can get my hands on a tellermine 35 fuze, both mines are very identicle in shape and size could i use a 35 fuze in the 43, do any one have both mines in there colection to find out?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tellermine_35

if it comes to the worst i can fabricate a 43 fuze but would love to keep period parts on it,
thanks

The tellermine 35 uses the T.Mi.Z.35 as the main Igniter my I ask if you have the tellermine 35 or tellermine 35 steel ? The steel is distinguished by radial fluting on the upper surface as a igniter
Similar to that used in the tellermine 42 was used or it can use a T.Mi Z35 pattern Igniter .The tellermine 43 uses T.Mi .Z. 42 as an Igniter

We don't use Tellermine in our group, wouldn't be nice to use against yanks or brits. Instead we fabricated some 30 "Tefal-mine44"

Very clever simulated mines!
Those would be great for our unit because our opposing Allied armor actually could drive over it without a huge replacement cost.
They appear to be a serving bowl of some sort. What are the dimensions and do you recall the brand?

Judging by the name 'Tefal-mine44', I'd guess it is infact a large frying pan, with its handle removed :p Pretty smart, and looks the part.

Forum member Boshman makes some lovely MDF Teller mines armed with maroons that go off if you move them or step on them. He also makes wooden Schu-mines armed with some form of blank caps. We've used them to great effect at AGS events.

If they weren't 'non-stick' could you use them on tanks?
