Please post your Axis 're-enactors welcome' events here.

I'd like to welcome all current and new Axis members to this newly revamped forum.

In particular it would be nice if any of you hear of any shows or events, however big or small, where Axis/German or W-SS are needed. Perhaps then we could put up a list here and the most appropriate groups (whether unit or area) could then attend.

Don't forget, this is the forum where all Axis units can come together and work together for a common end.

just to make my life a little easier!

if you could just include the following information:
Name of event
URL of their website (if any)
type of event (EG Private battle, trade fair, living history etc etc)
dates
location

I can then strip it in really quickly to the events page (currently under construction!)

Cheers!

Our events page is here
http://www.afra.org.uk/events.aspx
Feel free to rip stuff from there for events.
We have two "Hidden" events which are privates - Our training event at Ashby next month and the Swynnerton gig which is an invite based event.

I may organise an end of season German "training fest" of some description depending on keen interest.... This will be Lincs. area..... no details as yet but don't worry I'll come up with something! It might even turn into a tactical.....

actually I have indeed already ripped off your events page! as well as that of the GD recon boys! heh ... no morality ... ;)

I am amazed though by how many events take place in the midlands as opposed to the south. (eeek, going off topic here!).

Hi guys.
I have approached this show and have recieved a happy welcome.

'The Build Up'
30th June -1st July
Location is the Pochins Estate (manor house), Barkby, Leicestershire.

It is a first military event being held. After last years smaller event at the site, the manor has given the go ahead to do a pure military event and is helping as much as possible, to hopefully make it a great and up coming event. It is a stones throw from where the 82nd Airborne were based at March Hare, Scraptoft and in the run up to D-Day, the local area was swamped with Allies. The 82nd airborne also did a practice parachute drop in the surrounding fields of the manor.
We have 90% confirmation on a flypast from the Sally B. There will be post war vehicles there, (as the squire has a very large personal collection of vehicles himself) but these will be displayed in a different area of the location. So if people have post war vehicles they may be interested in bringing this is fine
On the Saturday evening there is a 40's dance, any one whos intestested please contact me for details.
There will be a battle scenario."

Sounds a bit homefront but without us how do you have a battle?

"ARP Vs LDF"?

It's that time of year - Can you please go to the panzergrenadier front page and send a message to Alex with your events on?
This way he can fill up the calendar for 2007 and we can provide a useful resource. I have sent 10 or so dates..... with a little info... Maybe if you send yours he can build up a good picture.

We just noticed how much we miss this when it disappears (1st and last I believe!) So let's help make it the best
