Does anybody own a German original or repro vehicle?

For all your vehicle questions etc.

Lovely Lovely bikes - and a welcome change from the muscle machines people usually chase after. I love R75s 71s KS750s etc. but someone needs to preserve these small workhorses..... Good on you Jim.

Our man kdf has just got a DKW125 and that will be showing around the country this year...... I reckon as a group SBG must have the most original motorcylces, running and under restoration of anyone in the country. One of the unknown reasons why re-enactment groups are so important..... We preserve vehicles..... and we share them with the public!

Cheers Paul!

Yes, often the little vehicles ore overlooked for the 'Famous Big Names' - and it's a mistake to do that - considering Germany conscripted almost every motor vehicle in the country there is a whole world of possabilities.

Lesser names may be harder to get parts for sometimes... but when purchase prices are in three figures not four or five it's certainly a good way to start in vintage vehicle restoration!

(And they will fit in your bedroom if you don't have a garage!)

During WW2 DKW were the biggest motorcycle manufacturer in the world! Keith's 125 looks like a good project, (just needs the "tinware" sorting out), Debbie is dead jealous!

1940 international - apparentely these were used in africa and italy so it will be done up as a captured vehicle once Ipick it up next month

Beetle being converted to look like a command car type 82 e or what ever they were called

Ural combo

several parts ofa schwimmwagen, which eventually will be all the parts of a schwimmwagen connected together to actually be a schwimmwagen.

VW golf, hmm what could I do with that

I think the French army had Internationals - they were supplied with a batch of Chevrolet and possibly internations in about 1937-38.

Sounds like we could have a little vehicle convoy from Bristol now, once my Kubelwagen parts look more like a vehicle, rather than sitting on the back of my truck!
