DKW RT 98 (2.5ps) 1936,

Post by svdwal »

Hello all,

A few months back i purchased a 1936 DKW RT98.
This particulair one was delivered to the dutch army in 1936 and used for despatch riders.
Being brought back to civie colours in the late 40's i want to repaint it into wehrmacht bike.
Can anyone help me with pictures/ info about the use of the RT98?

This the bike, currently in running order, still after 70 years, never restored.

Hoping for lots uf usefull repleys,

Thats lovely - congratulations!!!

Very much like my 1935 Wanderer SP1 (Sachs 98cc motor)

I would suggest RAL 7021 all over, all alloy parts bare alloy, drain & filler plugs & grease nipples in red... job done. :)

Not sure what unit/job the lad is in but ... :)

Is B the prefix for Berlin? - Black trousers and jackboots - LAH? (or is that wishfull thinking)
