They obviously decided not to lengthen it to get the sixth wheel station in (big job I would imagine!) so it won't look quite as convincing as the Band of Brothers replica thats been on the show circuit for a few years now.
Aaaah.. what am I saying? I still want one!

Question is would anybody aside from us lot and perhaps three people in the public crowd realise this?
Answer would be "no" methinks, and it looks about right and probably sounds right, so what if one wheel is missing?
I want one too
My son who is 10 would spot the fault at 100 yards....Maus Commander wrote:Pug42 wrote:They obviously decided not to lengthen it to get the sixth wheel station in (big job I would imagine!) so it won't look quite as convincing as the Band of Brothers replica thats been on the show circuit for a few years now.

Panzer III chassis 6 road wheels in 3 pairs, 3 return...
Panzer IV 8 road wheels in 4 pairs, 4 return.........
Ok there are some IV’s that have 3 return…..
Some of you may have noticed that I am a rivet counter….
Some may have noticed other things…
Replicas have do a place, but they are Replicas… and not the real deal...
Ok Take AFRA’s OT810/Sdkfz251's they are replicas but bloody good ones, so when done properly yes but a cut-n-shut bodge ‘cause it’s cheap No!

OK look at a 'real' StugIII compared with the US version.....
To me the original is squatter, the armour around the drivers vision port and the right hand side seam to high on the ‘copy’, the angles to steep, the Stug clone bodywork additions appear to be out of scale/proportion with the chassis, if the donor chassis is smaller than the original shouldn’t the new bodywork reflect that scale?
Length: Stug - 5.40m FV432 – 5.25m
Width: Stug - 2.90m FV432 – 2.80m
Height: Stug - 2.30m FV432 – 2.28m
Only 15cm difference in the length 10cm narrower…. So why is it not a 1-1 copy? Did they only have the Essci 1/76 scale Stug IIIG kit to scale it from?
Right how many rivets make up a Panzer 38T...
One, Two, Three...............One Thousand and Thirty Thre......................
