Smeegle!

Here's a small tank even you can afford!

Almost new condition, diesel so much safer than gasoline, fantastic green finish, just requires correct regimental stencils/markings!

Needs new road wheels, maybe from your pram if you ask nicely?

Also a broomhandle for a gun, again ask nicely and get an adult to cut the hole for you.

i think mr smeagle should be banned for breaking his own rules. I mean you can't expect people to follow your rules then you disregard them yourself.

point 1 for instance

REALITY CHECK 8)

I think you are failing to grasp the enormity of this 'project' you are claiming that you are about to undertake. Its outrageous for a boy like yourself to want a real tank when you dont even have a car license.

Why

- The cost, even if you have that much money, which I highly doubt, you will have to pay for things like licenses to own it, customs charges, not to mention the horrendous shipping costs these vehicles come with.

- You have very little knowledge on tanks or engineering, correct? You have an even more massive task - How will you pay for the Huge amounts in order to convert it to a Pz III? Look at twice as much again, maybe three times! Not to mention the hassle and complications of this.

- Where will you keep it???? These things dont fit in garages, and I doubt that they allow you to park a tank outside your house in the U.K You would need to own land and a small warehouse to keep it in??

For christs sake, mate... its a nice thought i know but BE REALISTIC!!!

My advice is, stick to Airfix, and wait until you're 17. Then join a re-enactment unit and play round with their vehicles - UK groups have loads!!

In the meantime, get your mum to put that money towards a 1940s Bicycle, a replica panzerfaust, and a HJ Uniform. :)

A sense of great - some might even say perverse - curiosity led me to look through the lad's previous posts while reading the I-got-it-off-a-model-box uniform thread...

...I don't think I've ever laughed myself into such a state at the same time a Pink Floyd album has been playing in the room

Alas, I've seen far too many daddy's-got-a-Porsche stories in my years on the Intarweb, but I rarely see one that's so poorly executed. Axis Re-enactment Forum holds a record!!

Seconded! Its one of the best stories on the Internets I've read in a while

Random: OH MY GOSH ITS STAUFER IN YOUR AVATAR!

And yes, it would probably be cheaper to build one from scratch, ok its a 1:1 airfix kit, but still, looks nice and has its place within reenacting.
