Kfz31 Ambulance - brought to you by HVP82!

Post by Feldjager »

A couple of pictures of Hauptverbandplatz 82s new ambulance.

The build is based on period photographs. It is designed for 2 stretchers, 4 'walking wounded' (seated) and an orderly in the back. The vehicle itself is a 1952 1,5t Opel Blitz.

See more about the unit at http://www.hvp82.co.uk

A great job you guys have done on the Blitz. This is going to make those Normandy '44 scenarios even more realistic. Awesome. :D

It was indeed why I was asking - just gathering info for our resident genius so he could come up with a design!

I've corrected the link above - should now work.

It's beautiful but when I kept seeing that MG42 poking out of the back on a tripod I kept thinking about Poor old Roger Bartlett.......

It's a real credit Dave and a joy to see it get used instead of sitting in a dusty garage in Derby..... Looking forward to seeing it again soon.

Quite frankly I`m amazed how different the vehicle looks from being a flatbed truck! The work to it looks good and was done quickly.
Well dont the chap/s who brought it and did the work!

I could see this being featured in CMV or MMI magazine. It is a credit to the team who built it.
