Repro Tiger I E in Hungary

Post by Marder »

Hi!

The Tiger was made by hungarian reenactors and tank fans. It will be working this year. First exhibition at Military Day Csobánka 27-28. August.
Please see the photos at:

or the video:

erm.................. WOW!

That's taking things one stage further!

What colour scheme are you going to paint her? I think she will outdo the UK one in terms of detail and accuracy - The KGSK boys had better get their upgrade underway PDQ if you ask me.....

Is this vehicle scratch built and if so what powerplant and drive train are you using?

I would very much like to see more pictures. Do you have any?

Must be like having a 1-1 Tamyia kit... 8) sh#t the tube of glue must be massive... 8)

Now if that 'drives' the number of Allied victories at public events should decline

Nice...

Close inspection of the wheel and track detail would suggest that it is a static replica only, as the components aren't beefy enough to actually drive the thing...

Nice 1:1 scale model though of early model Tiger with the drum cupola and turret bins.

Yeah, looks very nice. As Dave says though, looks scratch built so I'm guessing it has no drive/power train.

Tiger I

Post by Marder »

I have new info. It will be runing at this weekend. Please see the video on the website, it will be there after weekend. The next project will be a Königstiger or a PzIV L/70 (V).

Fwbl Dollman!
It has a 100 Le Mercedes-Benz motor. Its weight is 5t. We would like to make a Zimmerit coat. And it will be 3 tone camouflaged.

LAH650!

It's made by AFV Club not Tamiya, with Verlinden interior and Aber.....

I am happy to be corrected on that! The low weight of 5 tons explains how it can drive with what looks like a thin track and drive sprocket.

As you have modelled an early Tiger you don't have to zimmerit it (just thinking of the extra weight?)

Good show - looking forward to the next one! How long did it take you to make and are you taking orders for Christmas? :D :D

Hello!

The Leningrad Tigers have Pz 4 or Pz 3 storage bins. So I think it will be a repaired one from the S.Pz.Abt. 503 or 501.
They worked on it since 2005 November.
