So now you are applying for a Section 1 FAC? And how do you propose to mount something that weighs over a ton in your APC????? Come on.... smell the coffee......

its not a APC its was a 1990 heavy missle launcher!so it can hold a ton because the old missle launcher was 2.5 tonnes

Not to dampen your enthusiasm, but it looks like quite a large job for a first project, certainly not one I would tackle without a hell of a lot of planning first.
Would not restoring a small original vehicle be a better starting point, maybe a solo motorcycle or a truck?
At least then your be preserving a real item, as apposed to destroying one to make a fake.
( I do understand the need to build conversions - I would do it myself as I would love a Stug - but I do not have the time, money or ability to get it right enough to destroy another vehicle in the process, I think they have to be spot on or not at all.)

i think he wants , the tank, but iguess a non turreted spg would be an easier project than lets say a tiger! the elephants body id pretty simple when compared with other tanks, its rather blocky

Ok and here we go again...........

Being an armoured rivet counter...

MT-LB L - 6.45m, W - 2.86m, H 1.86m
Elephant/Ferdinand L - 8.14m, W - 3.38m, H 2.97m

mmmmmmmmm

so a 2/3rd scale model will it be then...

My little boy is 10 and he would know...

We would know...

You would know...

If you are going to spend 20p or 20K spend it wisely, why make a dogs breakfast when with some more research and some sensible planning you can have something that’s right.

We all want a Tiger I or II some a Panther others a Panzer IV, but it ai’nt going to happen, and 99.9% of us won’t with 17.9M in the lottery…

But it won’t stop us trying to make do, but do it properly, as others have said there are other original vehicle out there that your 20p or 20K could be spent on…

Others have given some good advice and ideas, think long and hard, I think unlike most of us old farts you have time on your side use it wisely
