Wooo sorry mate, FJ is not my business so I cannot help you with that. As far as I know you're best off with a UK/US vendor unless you can pick up a fake from WAF. Generally, the repro's from india and china suck balls, simply put. If you see one you want to buy, don't hesitate to post it here... We have experience with most vendors and we'll be able to help. Good luck.

to get the best falschie helmet you need an "INDIAN" depeeka shell  , can be had from ebay, but throw away the liner & get one from Barry Lyndon "speahead militaria" or failing that Don Calder, his are better but more expensive .

Reddick Militaria carries a decent repro. The shell is a good weight. Liner leather is nice. Chinstrap is well made. Just the stitching for the two liner halves is zig-zag not lateral. I pulled the threads and restitched laterally by hand.

Never owned and dont suppose i ever will own an original M38 helmet but have owned various ones in the past.

Have had a few Indian made ones(i believe)-like the shells but liners not much good.

Owned a couple of Chinise/HK ones and generaly not impressed. For the money i suppose they are ok but the couple ive had the leather liners seemed plasticy and the shells seemed too shallow.

Currently own 3 repros.

1 i bought off Ebay around 4-5 years ago that cost a lot then(no cheap China/HK ones then).Shell i believe is Indian which i like but some say the brow is wrong. It had a nasty liner that had the seam running front to back so i bought a liner from SOF who were at the time selling them for £60 from what i can remember(bloody hell, more then than a complete helmet now   ).

2 a GMAX one which again i bought a few years ago(used) which is AMAZING

3 one of those weird M37?? ones that Fallschirmjager Biz sells-luckily i didnt pay the full price for this and got it off Ebay :D :D :D

Gentlemen,

If you are looking for a reproduction M38 helmet that looks and feels like the real thing. I will be getting a supply in soon.
Currently I have 2 pre-production samples both in size 68cm shells. I have parts as well.
These are better than the CZ repros that are being sold as originals.
Contact me if you are interested.
