Heh heh :D
You had my trouble Sheik, yes i had some original helmets but had to sell them as they were too
small hence the repros that come in bigger sizes, i had one for sale on here an M42, sadly orig
lids/shells come in small sizes :(

There are plenty of original large size helmets available. They are all either in collections, too good to repaint, or expensive!

Would you say though that an original M-35 shell (whatever size) is different from the remakes (the shape)?

Its just, when I see a lot of 'new reenactment helmets' (Asian shells) they all look a little odd...

I know that they are expensive... No doubting that.

Just thought this area was to post pics of reenactment lids :?:

Maybe there should be an area to post pics of original helmets or repainted/
refurbished original lids which most people have done on here ??

As i say just a thought because original helmets whether they've been repainted
or whatever are always going to look better than the repro jobs, no contest there lol

All my lids are original shells :) Sadly there is no repro that comes even close to the correct shape of an original :)

There is already a topic for original helmet reference, this topic is for any helmet that is being worn for your impression.

Yes i know mate
What im saying is your comparing repro lids to original lids,
of course the latter is going to be better.....its original lol

As i said i would lurrrrrrve an original lid to wear for re-enactment
purposes but cannot find a large enough size, have searched everywhere
for one, i have sadly just got rid of two which were 58/59 :(

Unfortunately i have to make do with repro jobs until i manage to find one
big enough, which these cannot really be compared to the original !!!

Thanks for your responses, regards Peiper

OK, they are pricey but if you looked everywhere else with no luck...

Is all your repro stuff Asian Helmets?
They wont burn, you could probably trade them in for £200 against a new Toyota.
