Knowing nothing at all about WW1 helmets,took a punt on this as being white painted somebody said it was a Vickers helmet but when it turned up it appears not to be.

Anybody please got any ideas on the hand painted shield?

Fancied repainting the shell but not sure what to do now.

Afghani issue maybe?

A few people have commented on possible Afgahn and while I believe the colours are ok,only pics I can see are with Afgahn helmets having a different kind of metal type badge attached.
