helmet sizes

Post by murf »

if i'm buying a size 59 liner, what shell size should i be looking for, and how do you measure for a shell?
come to think of it, how do you measure a shell?

this stems from recently buying an 'original refurbished helmet' from SOF, which i'm rapidly starting to suspect is anything but.
cheers

shell size

for a 59 liner you need a 66 size shell. a 68 shell will take a 60 and 61 liner

liner

Post by pzrwest »

you can put a 59 liner in a 68 shell all you do is put 1 or 2 flat washers between the shell and the liner where they rivits got through. try one washer if still too loose try 2 washers at each rivit hole
