Semi Relic cleaned with Oxalic Acid. What a surprise!

Hello everyone,

I got this one one lately it was found in Halbe (without remains)...

I decided to clean it with Oxalic Acid..

And got a double surprise!

So here we go!

Note the liner fragments stuck in the liner!!

Tan painted LW helmet in Halbe ? Interesting pics, thanks for sharing !

Yes it is Tan painted, but I have no idea how it ended up in Halbe, maybe some Helmets were painted and never repainted?

I just don't know. I was not expecting Tan paint at all... :?

Thanks for sharing, it is a puzzler
Maybe a War souveneer dropped overboard by an Allied serviceman,
thats the only thing i can think of :?:
