Helmet Restorers US???

Post by bellumbill »

Hello all - I am in the process of receiving an M40 size 66 shell that I would like to have restored - I am looking to have a decal applied, general aging to the helmet, dome stamp, name writting on rim, things like that. Used to be Stahlhelm Werke advertised all that work, but they don't seem to be in business anymore.

SO, where would you all suggest I turn now? Whose the "best" and offers all those above services?? This is the first of several helmets I plan on acquiring that will need some work, so I'd like to have a "go to" guy for now and the near future.

Thank you!

Hi, another option would be Jacob Caputo:-

I've had 2 helmets from him so far - his work is fantastic and his service is superb.

Rex Bell from California does incredible work also . I have 4 helmets done by him and they are scary real. Just awesome & great to deal with.
