Kommiss spray paints

Post by Andy2 »

Anybody stocking Kommiss spray paints? I've been writing to their website but never got a reply.

Dealers suggestions welcome!

Thanks + cheers

Go with the paints from Lomax-militaria. They are really the best about colouration and quality.

I have my doubts honestly. Their so-called "apfelgrun" or apple-green doesn't look like the real thing at all :(

Well Kommiss finally replied and that solved it

I'll let you know what I think of their colors once I receive them, they seem to be truly good.

What are the prices? I'm going to nip to Jewson's over the weekend as they can do all the RAL colours as well. Not sure on price yet.

25 Euros including shipping from Germany to Italy for two 400ml spray cans, enough for quite a few helmets.

Hello

The paints from Kommiss or Heereszeugamt as he calls him self in E-Bay are the best on the market IMHO. I have the full palette here and use them for all kinds of restorations and for my helmets. He recently added a very nice slate gray to his portfolio. His apple green is absolutely spot on!!! BUT be aware, the spray cans of apple green are not too good, the paint has hardly any covering ability. I am not sure if this was just a one off but my two cans were really bad. The apple green from the bucket is superb though, very easy to use and covers very well. I now only buy the buckets and use my own air brush.
So all in all here we finally have a guy who did his homework on paints, look at his e-bay auctions, the pictures tell it all...

cheers
Uwe

Got my spray cans (apple green and slate grey) and I must say they're absolutely superb. Great coverage and spot-on colors. I'll buy more for my next helmet restoration projects and I strongly recommend them to all.

I'm looking to do a Normandy camo paint job to one of my shells and would like to get the correct Ral numbers for the standard/most common 3 colors used (tan, green & brown). I assume that Kommiss has these in stock? Does he ship to the U.S.? It's difficult to find the right colors in spray cans here.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

He does have the stuff, you'd best ask him about the shipping.
