What do you think about my M40 Italian campaign Camo helmet?

It looks a bit brash, try a mid brown colour to blend the edges a bit to get rid of the tiger stripe effect.

Your paint job is reminiscent of the "turtle camo" often seen in photos taken in Italy (but mostly in Fj units)

It was like yellow ochre stripes leaving field gray "islands" but the shapes were round-ish, more or less like a turtle's shell.

But in any case you do not need to repaint anything, not all WH soldiers were artists with the brush, there were some pretty horrid camos out there.
Just bang it around a bit and will get the "been there" look :wink:

What types of paint did you use? What's the base layer?

I'd stick to a photograph and copy that - or try the "normal" normandy camo colours and experiment with that. Don't be afraid to paint your helmet 10 times: practise makes perfect.
