If you are serious about 116PzDiv - buy this
http://www.amazon.com/Normandy-Ruhr-116 ... 0966638972

Not many pictures but a good knowledge base for the Division, it's deployment, strength, actions and Staff Officers etc. Fascinating reading if a little dry.

Not many authenticated pictures exist and the Veteran's Organisation does not welcome re-enactors so speaking with them is difficult. The 4 veterans I knew are now all dead so I can not help much. But PM me with questions on the subjects you asked about and I will try to be of assistance.

There is this book too;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116-PANZERDIV ... 2034653899
I have not seen the copy I ordered yet so I cant comment on it.
All in German though. Google translator will be my new friend.
There have been a couple of articles on the 116th in the French Militaria magazine by Histoire et Collections.
One was on the famous series of photos of the Aufklarung, the other on the general troops if I remember correctly. They are all in French but have great photos. Google translate might just be your new friend.
