I saw this on Landmark books website 'Gulaschkanone the german field kitchen in ww2 and modern re-actment,I think published by schiffer, available end of march £39.95+pp.
I thought it looked interesting as food plays a vital role in a soldiers life.

I'm thinking about getting hold of that book. I recently aquired Horst Hinrichsen's Gulaschkanonen. Feldküchen, Bäckereien. Zubehör und Ausstattung 1935 - 1945.

It's got some cracking photo's and information.
