Great place to buy uniforms

Post by 352nd »

Great place to get uniforms, http://www.ww2militaria-kcs.com. Cheap uniforms in different styles, such as infantry tunics m36,m40 and m44 pluspanzer and SP rapes. jackboots, ski caps and helmets all at low prices plus some field gear. well worth a look.

Yes
I especially like their rubber soled "German Jackboots". Quality all the way - I didn't even look at the rest of the site - The boots did it for me.

Yes, a friend bought some FJ stuff of him. It's almost exact. We put the splinter pattern smock next to an original and they look the same. Also his uniforms have artifical wearing marks so you won't look like a newbe when you get one.

These look like the ones that the bloke on E-bay's been selling from Hong Kong. Some of the photo's are very similar.

The tunics that guy offers are OK if you are on a really tight budget, but I'd be inclined to save and go see Richard. Those tunics have the same faults as the Sturm ones (no chest darts, the sleeve length is too long, the armholes to large and the skirt too long for the overall fit - they are cut more like a modern suit jacket than a Wehrmacht tunic). I've also found the wool used for some of the tunics is woefully thin, and the Panzer wraps have wool more akin to a greatcoat material. The pockets can be misaligned, and the last HK tunic I examined actually had the breast pocket so small, a soldbuch wouldn't fit in it (and where do we all keep our soldbuchs, boys and girls?!)

Just my 0.02p worth...

lots of the old timers (I mean in reenacting terms !!and due respect to them) deplore these tunics and the supplier.

I bought the M36 tunic set back in april...why?
because I got into reenacting for £80 thats why!
for that price if I thought it wasnt for me, no probs havent broken the bank...and if it is for me I can run around and actually, get dirty, run through bushes without worrying about getting it ripped etc.

for the overall package, price, appearance, customer service , this guy can not be beaten on his M36 and M40 sets..simple as that.

The best quote I read about them on another forum was "they are good for battling and beer tent but thats it" what else is there?

Dont get me wrong now that I am in the world of reenacting, no doubt Mr undrewood is going claim my overtime, But these guys are here to stay and their quality is getting better all the time.

Did the M40 HBT uniform exist? I know the rubber soled jack boots were not worn. The splinter helmet covers dont look to be reversable and a splinter A jump smock?

There was an M40 pattern HBT uniform. It was introduced in Feb 1940; the idea for which came from the SS-VT summer uniform. It was identical to the tropical uniform introduced at the same time, save for a 6 button fastening and hook & eye closure at the neck.
The later 1942 pattern HBT was very similar, except for the elimination of pleated pockets. The 1943 pattern then eliminated the scalloped edges on the pocket flaps. The number of buttons on the front remained the same throughout, and also irrespective of Heer or SS issue.
