Where best ot buy a Zeltbahn

Post by Pat »

I need a Zeltbahn or four. Who is better SoF have them from £55-£80 and R.Underwood has them £35 both look good. My wallet says Underwood, my heart also says Underwood because the money you save can go on other kit :D Your opinions and advice are sought.

Thanks in advance

Underwood and then the money you save can go on Fabsil to waterproof them - (and pegs and poles and ropes which you need to make the tent!)

According to his website they are already waterproofed. Is it a case of re-waterproof, as it's better to be safe than soggy

ANd another question. Poles, how many? I assume as he sells them in threes' that three is all you require. Y/N and what type of rope is used?

Cheers,

Four - He sells them in fours (I think) Just ask him to do you a bundle - 4 zelts, set of poles, 8 pegs (4 corners 4 middles) and two ropes.

Nice one Mike - Does it darken the colour of the fabric at all? or does it dry out neutral? If it's the latter I'll do that next time I need to waterproof mine.

Hi Paul, the product dries to a neutral state we use it on a long list of items including wooden boxes and even reversible’s, but it’s always wise to test a area first but we had no problems in the past, just remember to well air the treated items before storing.
