Stick 'em in the snow for a week (if you get it for that long)...that'll do the trick.

Just to add a bit of imput to this thread i've added a pic
of one of my SMW smocks, this was washed once when
i bought it just to get the "newness" out of it, since then
it has been worn at 3 events and this is the result

Basically just wear your kit naturally at events especially
battles without washing, just scrape off the excess mud
each time and eventually it will look like a "veteran's" :wink:
