Has anyone first hand usage on this company's gas guns MG 42 in particular?

unlikely to sound like a real 42. As a gas engineer, its works on explosive combustion, your only going to get a pop rather than a bang!

Graham I've seen a clip on youtube with an mg42 showing 98/99 db on a meter which aint too bad. Reliability is my main concern as there are some really shonky guns about. Out of the three dealers ive contacted only one has so far got back to me

98/99db whilst not quiet isnt that loud, esp. for a gun.
A regular petrol lawn mower is around 100Db.
The only reasonable sounding gas gun I have heard was last week at Victory Show.
Tony Pearson has a gas .50cal on his M8. It has its RoF tuned down to one comparable to a real .50 and is used to fire short bursts.
The result is quite impressive, few others have come close to being convincing.

Agree heard that 50, mind there's a load of room in a 50 for the chamber plus I think it's lower rate of fire lend itself to being a gas gun.

Then why do most gas .50 sound like a weasel farting in a paper cup?

Probably cos they were built with crap parts. From the bit of digging I've done not all gas gun makers are good!
