hi all,
im basically after info on the armoured recon crews etc.during the early years.
any info or books on the subject would be great.even pics would be a great help.

The book "Grenadiers" by Kurt Meyer is a great source on the AA LAH. A few others are Vol. II of the Rudolf Lehmann "The Leibstandarte" series and "Soldiers of the Leibstandarte," particularly pages 226-255. I'll do a bit more looking through my library, but that should get you started.

i have kurt meyers book but its in french (dont ask ).
as for the rudolph lehmann set of books i have all except 1 + 2.
impossible to get unless you want to pay hundreds.
i think its unusual that there isnt more books written about the early war ,as for me
i find the early stuff very interesting . i personally think the normandy to berlin thing has been overdone.
even to the paint schemes i much prefer the grey on vehicles rather than the camo.
