Hello,
A friend of mine has what appears to be a cap badge, see attached pictures.
It is 3.125 inches long, and 1.625 inches at its widest.
The hilt has the SS imprint at the top of the handle, with the Eagle and swastika in the middle of the dagger handle.
I have tried finding information on Google, but cannot find anything. Can you help, please?
Thank you.
Mike

Metal Cap(?) Badge
Re: Metal Cap(?) Badge
I remember being given one by a dealer back in the eighties so I've always thought of it as a cheap, postwar fantasy piece, the crappy depiction of the eagle being the most obvious sign to me!
Would be interesting to know what others think though!

Thanks Tommy and hansritter. This one appears to be brass. Curious that someone is asking over $400 for one!
Any more comments would be welcome.

Brigardefuhrer: Do you mean made and sold since the war, therefore not genuine?

Yes circa 1960's -70's,this one is made with british army style lugs, some have been copied in pot metal with pins but they never existed in the third reich, made for bikers to wear on their denims or leather jackets.Johnmikethetaxi wrote:Brigardefuhrer: Do you mean made and sold since the war, therefore not genuine?
