In a photo I have seen,of a dead german soldier in Berlin. The one with two red army soldiers running past. The dead german has a badge on his upper left arm, which looks like a shovel head, light in colour with what appears to be either 185 or 165 in the middle.Would this be a Todt member or labour service. Anybody know what this badge is.
Thanks

This one?
Re: Badge I'd
Yeah, that's the one.Would the RAD badge be the area of Berlin he's from or unit/company etc.I assume it was Everyman to the front in the final battle, but did RAD members fight as combat soldiers as the dead german seems to have a couple of medal ribbons on his chest.

I cant see what it says below the number, there should be roman numeral between I and XL which will denote which area/district he belongs to. The actual number on the sleeve appears to be 185 which is coming up as Niedersachen-Ost
Ref the ribbons, he was possible attached to the wehrmacht for a period of time.
