 Post subject: German helmet question

I've seen a few M40 type helmets just recently for sale on the web but without split pin holes some have had liners in but most don't, those with liner tend to look like a post war types with perforations in the leather at the forhead so the question is where these combat helmets or for civil defence/police bods :?:

Those are postwar, BGS used them i think.

Yep.. Hoffmann is right. A friend of mine just drilled the holes and added a repro liner. A lot better then any repros.
