I am looking for a recipe to make some Zwieback for iron rations for an event coming up. Der Erste Zug article states, flour, sugar, yeast, salt, seasoning, and water. Although my culinary skills are less than average and I have no idea how much of each to use or how it is baked. I'd like to try to recreate the small cube type biscuits referenced in this article. http://www.dererstezug.com/PackagingForZwieback.htm
Anyone lend a hand?

Re: Zwieback Recipes
Mix the ingredients together with only little water, roll it out and cut pieces. Then let them bake for an hour to 90 minutes on low heat.

Servus Kurt,
Why don't you make it easy on yourself and buy it from the company that made it during the war...and still makes it. You should be able to find it locally or you can order it online:

Horrido!
