FJ jump smock

Post by 2ndSSRanger »

I am trying to find out what quality type 3 splinter B, FJ jump smocks are out there. Who makes the best repro, and who makes decent repros that wont cost $400. These are the two that I am compairing now, can anyone give some advice on them?

Military tour:
http://www.militarytour.com/reproductio ... linter.htm

Panther:
http://www.panther-store.cz/en/catalog/ ... -backround

Also, here is the link to a cheaper spearhead smock, but the color looks too dark to me.

Thanks!

spearhead ones are very good if you are worried about the tan you can stick raylon dye through it for a green background.

Panther Store are reputed to be the best, get the RiRi plastic zips.

I've got 2 Spearhead knockensaks and although not perfect, they are fine for rolling around in the mud! I've done at least 5 private battles in mine, so far no holes and the only wear and tear is on the collar and cuffs from sweating. They go in my washing machine on a 30° and come out fine.

If you get a Spearhead pre aged version, they are smaller than advertised on his site due to the ageing process. Get the next size up.

Gary.

as Pee Dee said plastic RiRi zippers i have a pair of flying boots with plastic RiRi zippers in black but have also seen them in cream i also had a unfinished sheepskin flying jacket once with blue plastic RiRi zippers, it always throws people when they see them and think theyre fake or modern.

At Hessen Antiques, a company based in Georgia (usa), they have jump smocks for $80.00 (usd).
http://www.hessenantique.com
They carry a wide variety of SS items as well. You should also check out the "on sale" and "close out" list as well.
They have great coats on there for $83.00 (usd) this week.
