IKEA have these towels for 35p each, they are linen and a very old fashion weave and look very period. Beats having modern tea towels etc on your display..... good for cleaning kit etc too without having modern cloths.

These are excellent for period looking towels. However, they are not linen, they are 100% cotton, not that its incorrect, just that its less common than the original linen ones.

Cheers Grabenkater, Im surprised they are cotton as they really dont feel like it. Doesnt say on the label what it is made of but whatever, they really are good.... made in Bangladesh :wink:

I have bought them in Europe and in the US and they were cotton :wink:

I have a photo of an original French towel from the First World War and its identical.

You'r 100% good man...i'm totally agree with you that they are 100% cotton...contains great stuff there...that its less common than the original linen ones.
