Tents whats acceptable?

Post by paulwray »

(due to me not having much luck with Zeltbahns, other post)

I need a bit more DRY space, whats acceptable regards period tentage? what can i get away with etc. Id love one of the command tents PD and a few other have, but last i heard they were a special / minimum order etc (thats if they still make them? any info Mr PD appriciated).
Id love something i can stand up in (pure luxury!) , sleeps two / three, space for liquid refreshments and my over stuffed lunchbox. So what are you guys using? what tried and tested bit of canvas do you use? official name (help me search tinernet), and how many coins would i need to shed to afford one?

this would help me big time as the camping bits getting wet  and miserable  atm and i dont really want to leave the living history camp to get covered in plastic.

Thanks

Lets see i usually find a good spot of hay and sleep there using my trenchcoat as a blanket.

A couple days ago i bought ( 2 gray blankets now im gonna sleep in style  )

That should keep me warm. But seeing as you are getting wet why not dig a fox hole and cover it with a zelt?
