Converting Helmet - Can it be Done?

Post by Hoffman Grink »

I have found a good supply of cheap steel helmets. I am wondering if they are OK as they are for German Re-enactment or will they need to be converted slightly. Obviously they will need a paint job but there are so many people who can do this well it shouldn't be a problem.

What do you think?

You'll have to put an Erbsentarn helmet cover on it or a Leibermuster as it looks like the M45 German helmet! Perfect for last effort/late war re-enactment...

I think they are pretty useless to convert into a m35,m40,m42...

But,maybe if you have the hands of a magician... :)

For a m45? would that not be the exception

The best repro is an original...

Helmets would be great on a foggy day from a long distance and if you squint

Perfect for UK re-enactment then - Always shite weather and I've never seen more squinting backwoodsmen in me life!

I thought Homage was the age you could be legally Gay !

Note I used Homage and Gay but made no reference to the Big Swede that Stig has
