Just got myself a nice Kradmantel and wondered if there is anything people use to keep the rubber supple and in good condition? Had a google but Im obviously typing in the wrong question judging from the results Im getting :lol:

I think it was some stuff i got from a auto shop for treatment of exterior rubber/vinyl parts.
get some and try it on a small area.

furniture polish like mr sheen or back to black car products that have silicone in them, do not use vasaline as the petroleum in it will rott the rubber.

Try baby oil, i've put it on mine a few times and it seems to work.

Used the AutoGlym rubber / vynil stuff as well, which brings them up nice.

silicon oil is pretty good.
I used to g o out with a girl who was into..... well I digress.

Just had a look again, apparently baby oil doesnt do rubber any good but its a good aid to... well Im sure you know :lol:

Im thinking something silicone based will be best, as suggested.

I reckon this is a very helpful thread for many reasons :D

silicon makes it too shiny. Just keep it in a wardrobe, warm and well ventilated. Don't let it get cold or leave it folded. sponge it down with a damp cloth after use and keep it aired.....
